Todd Joseph, the developer behind Conneaut Lake Park, has submitted plans to convert the former East End Elementary School into a fifty-five-plus complex. Joseph bought the forty-eight-thousand-square-foot building at auction last month for eighty-five-thousand dollars. The city's zoning hearing board will review the plans this Thursday.Also in Meadville, local physicians are pushing a new "food as medicine" initiative to fight chronic illness. Resident doctors from Meadville Medical Center are hosting bi-weekly cooking classes to teach patients how to prepare nutritious meals on a budget, as regional health systems explore programs to deliver medically tailored meals directly to patients.And tomorrow is primary election day in Pennsylvania.
